Custom systems for problems off‑the‑shelf software can’t solve.

34 North Consulting designs custom applications, automations, and data systems around the way your business actually works.

MANUAL WORKONE SYSTEMAUTOMATEDWEEKLY
Sound familiar?

You don’t need “a website.” You need something that works the way you do.

Most clients call when off-the-shelf software almost fits, but not quite.

01Employees repeat the same manual process every day.
02Critical reporting depends on one complicated spreadsheet.
03Information lives in systems that do not communicate.
04Managers cannot see what is actually happening in operations.

If two or more of these sound familiar, the problem usually isn’t your team. It’s that no one ever built a system around the way your business actually runs.

Capabilities

Three ways we solve it

Every engagement starts with the business problem. The technology (including AI where it genuinely helps) is chosen to fit the solution, never the other way around.

Custom Applications & Web Platforms

From modern business websites and Shopify stores to customer portals, searchable platforms, and internal tools.

  • Modern websites and platform rebuilds
  • Shopify stores and custom storefronts
  • Customer and employee portals
  • WordPress modernization and migration
  • Websites with application-level functionality

Automation & Integration

Repetitive work handled by the system, reliably, every time.

  • Workflow and document automation
  • API integrations
  • Email, CRM, and form routing
  • Shopify and WordPress integrations
  • AI-assisted internal systems

Data & Decision Systems

Numbers you can actually act on, delivered on schedule.

  • Automated reporting and KPI dashboards
  • Data consolidation
  • Exception reporting and forecasting
  • E-commerce and sales reporting
  • Custom reporting interfaces

Projects range from modern websites and Shopify stores to internal tools, automations, reporting systems, and custom applications.

Selected Systems & Products

Built, shipped, and running

A mix of operational systems and products we build and operate ourselves: the strongest proof that our work holds up in the real world.

Interface compositions are representative mock-ups. They will be replaced with real product screenshots as assets are prepared. No invented data is shown.

Process

How a project works

Projects start with the business process, not with choosing a software stack.

1

Understand the problem

What’s going wrong, who it affects, what it costs.

2

Map the current workflow

How the work really happens, including the workarounds.

3

Define the smallest useful solution

The narrowest system that removes the friction.

4

Build and test

Built in the open, tested against real work.

5

Deploy and improve

Ship it, watch it run, refine as the business changes.

About 34 North

Technical building, grounded in business experience

34 North combines hands-on technical building with real experience in sales operations, reporting, e-commerce, account management, marketing, analytics, and process improvement.

That means projects begin with understanding how the business works, not with choosing a software stack. Clients work directly with the person responsible for understanding and building the solution. Specialized help is brought in deliberately when the project requires it.

AI is a tool we use inside solutions, for document processing, internal assistants, and automation that would have been impractical a few years ago. It is not the brand, and it is never the answer to a question we have not understood yet.

When a spreadsheet stops being a tool and starts being a risk

Most businesses depend on at least one spreadsheet that only one person truly understands. This covers how to recognize when that dependency has become a liability and what addressing it actually looks like.

Signs your business has outgrown off-the-shelf software

Off-the-shelf software works until the business grows around it. This covers the specific friction points that indicate a process has outgrown its tools and what the realistic options are.

What “automated reporting” actually means in practice

Automated reporting gets pitched as a transformation. In practice it is a pipeline that replaces a manual assembly process with a scheduled one. This covers what that actually involves and when it is worth doing.
